Rules of the Forum: Your post is pointless if it is something nobody can read, only contains one or two words, or something that would be better discussed via PM or in our chat boxes. Make your opinion known by more than just a few words. Most people will take you more seriously if you tell them the reasoning behind your opinion. Post count does not matter. Posts are quality over quantity. You do not have to use perfect grammar but at least try and put words together that make sense, do not type in all capitals, it is seen as flaming. Is a bannable offense. Do not advertise for other websites. We're here to discuss topics that interest us, we're not a commercial billboard. Also be sure to leave links to other clans and gaming forums out of your signatures. We have steps that can be taken to affiliate with each other, so be sure to use that approach to get your site's name out there. If you notice somebody that has decided to not follow these rules and are making topics or posts that are clearly not what we are about, do not feed into it. Report the thread using the Report Thread button at the top of the thread. Be sure to use the edit button and not to post multiple times in a row. Sometimes it can happen, but to do it frequently will result in punishment. Bumping topics that have clearly served their purpose (i.e. Birthday topics, question topics, etc. that have not been closed) clutters the active topics on the page, and so should be avoided. Double check and make sure there isn't a topic already made or similar to a topic you are trying to create. If you're asking a question make sure a fellow member has not already asked the same question. Doing this will keep the boards less cluttered. Quoting pyramids are annoying. There is no need to quote with another member several times. All it does is end up posting the same thing over and over. Keep it to a minimum. Don't troll. Be respectful of your fellow members. We're here to have fun and discuss things that interest us. Trolling is defined as disturbing a topic, annoying other users, and flaming. Flaming is deliberately targeting someone with the intent of insulting them, jokingly or not. This also extends to private conversations (over MSN, PMs, etc), meaning do not harass someone even if it is not there for the whole board to see. If you are being harassed "privately", report it to an admin. Trolling will result in suspension and, if necessary, banning. Cussing happens, but it is not necessary. Try to refrain from using curse words, and don't use them excessively and for no reason. Cursing is not banned here unless used in an angry tone to belittle or to talk bad about another member. This also pertains to anybody that decides to find loopholes around the few censors we do have. If we made a censor for it we obviously do not want it said anywhere around the site. If you are caught bypassing a censor you will be suspended with or without warning. The use of cuss words in an angry way will get you suspended without warning for at least three days so your foul language can calm down. Rules in the Shout Box are not as strict as they are on the boards. You are allowed to post multiple times and are allowed one word responses, however, excessive cursing, repeating the same post over and over, links to sites that are considered distasteful, impersonation and other immaturity will be punished. Go nuts in the C-Box but keep it fun and respectful for your fellow members. Be sure to create topics that have the potential to continue for more than 3 or 4 posts. Filling up the boards with topics that have nothing to talk about will let this place get boring. Be sure to have fun and talk about all kinds of different subjects that interest you personally. Do not make new threads with titles in all capitals, or an unrelated topic name with unrelated information. Pornographic material is not allowed in any way, shape or form. [/list] Racism in any way, shape or form will not be tolerated. Please, no religious threads. This includes but is not limited to: Why one prefers one religion over another, religious leadership, or attacks at other religions. These almost always result in flame wars and cannot be tolerated. Signatures Signatures are images or text that go under your post. These primarily represent the personality of a person and are used to make people laugh. Signatures take longer to load and require more "browser power" than avatars. Signatures have to be of a reasonable size. This is up to moderators and admins to decide. If anyone of the administration asks you to remove a signature, do so without argument. Don't go overboard with signatures and be sure to listen to the administration if we ask you to remove them. Text is also allowed in the signatures how ever, you may not exceed the LARGE setting. Anything bigger than {SIZE=7} is too big. Administration Disrespect towards Administration Do not disrespect any of the administration. Doing so will make you lose respect and get you suspended or banned. Making smart comments to administration, telling administration how to do their job, or flaming administration will result in suspension or banning. If you feel someone of the administration has treated you wrong, notify an admin; no one else. Any admin will do. Do not try to be a moderator If you are not part of the administration, do not act like it. If you notice someone breaking rules, inform them nicely, do not attempt to enforce rules yourself. This is the quickest way we can deal with any problems with posts. If there is a problem outside of posting, such as PM harassment, notify an admin or mod. Rules of the Clan: Respect - Respect is a very important for each and every Helljumper. - Not only do you respect your superior officer, but you will respect every member of this clan. Excessive cussing, cursing, and utter profanity is neither impressive nor tolerated. Keep it to an absolute minimum. - Treat every non-personnel as a potential recruit, and most importantly, always represent the 81st in the best manner by simply following these regulations. Honor - The 81st does not, in any way, condone or support cheating, glitching or modding both in or out of matchmaking. Play fair, and to the rules of the game. - Never pretend to be or impersonate another member, do not put your rank as higher than you actually are. - All members shall report any breach in these rules to a staff member immediately. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action. - Trash talk and instigation is not tolerated in any forms. - Absolutely no T-Bagging, Body Melee, or any other form of disrespect to the dead is tolerated in any area of the game. Breach of this regulation will result in running many laps, repeated offenses will result in demotion. There is zero tolerance policy on this matter. Loyalty - 81st members shall not have any other memberships with any other clan, or organizations. So far the only Community we have met is Forerunner Conflict if you wish to sign up there feel free as any means necessary. - No members shall deviate from the clan structure or create any new institutions/organizations within the clan without proper authorization. - Follow all orders given to you by your superiors. No questions asked. Duty - Participate in all activities, if not possible, then make sure to inform your commanding officer that you will be unable to attend the event. - All member shall wear the appropriate clan emblem, unless otherwise approved by an officer. - All personnel must support the battalion 100%, it is a collaboration of effort from all personnel, not just a few people. - All personnel are held to these expectations regardless what Gamertag they are using. Discipline - Never interrupt a superior when they are talking. - When you are told to be quiet in a pre-game lobby, it is expected to be done so instantly, if you are booted from the party for talking, do not make the same mistake twice. - Do not instigate before a matchmaking game. - Always appear as professional as possible. - Do not ask for a promotion, this may lead to a demotion. - Do not abuse any power given to you. - All personnel are held to these expectations regardless what Gamertag they are using. - All unsaid rules are expected out of proper behavior. In the 81st, you will always have a superior officer, you will take orders from him and carry them out without questions. Punishments - When we need to discipline personnel, you run laps. - Laps are done, on forge world, the biggest ass map we can find, so that way, it is that much more agonizingly boring for you, the victim. - Laps are reserved for lesser punishments, while higher punishments usually result in demotions or discharges. - We reserve the right to invent any other form of punishment that we may think of either whilst you are running laps, or before the punishment is enacted. Superior Officers In the Brigade, you will always have a superior officer, you will take orders from him and carry them out without questions. If an officer requests party leader, it is your responsibility to hand it over without any questions. This goes along with respect for rank and file If you have any questions, or problems, your superior officer is the person to go to. Your superior officer is the leader of your platoon, not the leader of the clan, he has better things to do.
